Knit swirl sweater

I am working on this complex beautiful sweater and am committed to completing. I have found if a project is too large, I get disinterested. Not really bored, just have trouble keeping focused on enjoying the process. If I can't visualize the end result, it is challenging to stay engaged. The same thing happens if I make a large mistake.  I'm not sure how others cope with the  disappointment when this happens. So on my sweater, I misunderstood the directions and have to backtrack a couple of rows. My intuition told me something wasn't right and i'm so glad i listened before i got too far along after the mistake. Went to the local knitting store and asked a store employee that is also working on  the same Coat of many colors. She had made the same mistake.  I guess that should make me feel better but it doesn't.  I figured if I shared about this, I could get past my feelings about it. It's late so I think I will get some sleep and attempt this again tomorrow.
